It’s time for something new.
For those of you unfamiliar with me, I have been writing on a site called Quora since 2015, primarily speaking about my life experience as a diagnosed psychopath. I address the science of psychopathy, the beliefs surrounding psychopathy in society, the myths that plague psychopathy, and most often, my personal insights as someone with psychopathy.
Quora has been an excellent platform for me, and has provided me with great opportunities and allowed me to build a dedicated following, and that has been fantastic. It’s just time for a different format so I can do a bit more with it. I will still be on Quora, but the frequency will be diminished.
Quora is a question and answer site, and that does work well with my brain. I can think about something that is asked, and I can explore the different sides to any particular question I am mulling around. It provokes thought and contemplation.
However, it’s limiting, and it is also quite repetitive. Many times, again and again, I am having to address the same questions. Other times insightful answers that I provide to a question disappear as the question it was provided on is merged into a slew of other, mostly unrelated questions, and lost to the algorithm of botthink.
Substack will give me the freedom to speak about more than just a singular subject, and if you follow my newsletter you likely will get a variety of topics that are of interest to me, such as cooking, short stories, personal anecdotes, not just psychopathy. I will still write about it of course, and there will be the ability to ask questions in the comment section that may lead to being the focus of a future publication.
If that journey interests you, sign up for what comes in the future.
See you next issue

Now I have lots of intelligent/interesting posts to read and consider. Gotta catch up.
