Oh yes, the ulcer example. My father had that surgery before they knew the real cause. Much later, I was unable to convince a suffering housemate that his ulcer was now easily curable because his fool doctor had told him otherwise. It's a great example to make people think more about medical ethics and the unreliability of diagnoses and paradigms.
Anxious to read the next installment. . ..
Working on finishing the editing so it can go up Thursday morning

My first thought was, what list of traits would Athena offer instead?
Then I realized that there may not likely be a list, because it’s not so much a pathology, but merely a place on a spectrum of traits
I like Kevin Dutton's list of traits. It is far more accurate:
Ruthlessness
Fearlessness
Impulsivity
Self Confidence
Focus
Coolness under pressure
Mental toughness
Charm
Charisma
Empathy-cognitive only
Conscience-cognitive only
The list is certainly something I would be motivated to chose.
In my limited experience with psychopaths, the mental toughness is context sensitive.
‘Paths also have sensitive points, but they are typically well protected.
Poke them and all hell breaks lose.
Such as?

That is quite unfortunate. I am amazed how slowly some things change, and how much damage can be done in the meantime.
I think I see where this is going
