Sometimes in real life, children are blamed for the terrible actions of adults around them -- for instance, if a damaged adult (often abused themselves as a kid) but with high social standing sexually abuses a kid... the kid gets called evil, though perhaps it happens a bit less often now that there is some actual research on all that.

I wonder if some of these "evil child" stories come from those real life sorts of events where the adult has problematic self control (to say the least)?

A very good question

Do you have any children? If so I would be very interested in learning if you have a connection with them? If not have you given any thought on if you would?

No, no children. I was well aware that I was too self-focused for that to be a good idea. Children in general like me a great deal, and though I am not particular to children I can get along with them quite well.

Athena, Athena...I am waiting about some years. Years of waiting for your first book about your disability 😏

But it dosnt happen.

I like to read "eye of the storm" hoping it is the first step.

Please dont stop this🤗

Plenty times I read how you described how authors and actors are wrong in their description of psychopathic traits, about people, movies, storylines and so on.

So, I would love to see how a story could be written by a psychopath about a fictional psychopathic charakter.

How big is the chance to get this?

I think it would grow up your community and could bring interesting new contacts to you and many more positiv issues.

What do you think, Athena?

😘

Indeed, this is quite possible.

What kind of story could this be lady?

Entertainment would fit.

I think the opposie of a cruel story could be the contrast needed. F. E. a dramedy like Atypical for tv.

Are there fantasy based abilities in your mind?

On the othe side...I am sure non-fiction with your kind of expirience would be done within a month 😁.

Just like a dissertation.

But for a dissertation you also need quotes and source references. Not sure you are organized for this.

Logically you should choose kind of thrill because this is the one in mainstream creating the wrong picture of psychopathy.

Hope you can fix your interest in this, cause you having the audience, skills and contacts for your choice and extend by doing

I will one of your biggest fans and you possible rich as f...

😅

For some reason this reminded me of a younger sister of a girl I dated back in my fundie religious days.

When she turned 9 she got a swimsuit for her birthday and that was all she would wear once school was out for the summer. A few years go by and she's outgrown her swimsuit but instead of getting her a new one her mother burned the swimsuit.

The now 12 year old girl simply went naked down to the small lake where she spent all her summers. The father beat her but that just made her even more defiant.

I recall going to visit and here she'd come up the path through the woods to the house "nekkid as a jaybird"

The parents were convinced that she was a bad seed or something though the only thing she ever did was defy them over the swimsuit.

I don't know how they all ended up

Thinking back, the children of fundamentalist "Generation Gideon" or "quiverful" or whatever tended to have a lot of issues that didn't seem to show up in the general population. My best friend in that church and his wife got into swinging and I stopped hanging around with them

I liked both of these movies Remember SLENDER MAN ! I found that very disturbing. As it turns out one of the little girls had serious mental issues which were genetic and the doctor did not give her medication.Reality is stranger than fiction.

Well written as always. Funny I've never associated these types of stores with psychopathy. I have always seen these kids as some other world evil, like demons or sometimes they are possessed by something else. Psycopathy never crossed my mind.

I can see how some people might think so, given how psychopaths are viewed.

I'm sure you do, for all the reasons you've started, I can see how ppl misunderstand, I'm just not one of them, so it didn't come to mind. I can watch those movies and such and not assume psychopath, unless they outright say it. Even then I can see how they get it wrong, but that's just me. I'm aware that others jump to conclusions.

I’ve seen some people say Mary Bell was born a psychopath since she was already having trouble bonding at 2 years old and never cried. However she did show signs of anxiety and shame, she’d wet the bed and be scared to go to sleep because her mom would embarrass her.

Mary Bell is not a psychopath. She came from a terribly abusive home. She bonds just fine, and has a daughter of her own. She has the entirety of the emotional range and experience available to her. There is a book about her life that details this.

I’m just telling you what I’ve heard. I don’t think she’s a psychopath either, I also don’t like how she’s dehumanized when people talk about her. They also don’t seem to understand she was too young to be diagnosed psychopathic. Every video I watch of her call her a psychopath, podcasts too, the way they talk about her is dehumanizing and treat her like some intelligent horror movie villain.

They also don't understand her childhood. I can't say that I do past the book I read, but she had significant emotional issues with the abuse, and was enacting that out into the world.

I also think it’s a part of sensationalizing to treat her like that. They go by her outdated psychopathy diagnoses she received in the 60’s at 11 year old.
