"There's no truth in the news and no news in the truth" is often attributed to an old Russian proverb or joke This saying was particularly popular during the Soviet era, referring to the two main state-run newspapers in the USSR:
1. Pravda (meaning "Truth")
2. Izvestiya (meaning "News")
The joke played on the names of these newspapers, suggesting that neither publication actually provided accurate information. It was a satirical commentary on the state-controlled media in the Soviet Union, implying that the official "truth" (Pravda) contained no actual news, while the official "news" (Izvestiya) contained no actual truth.
i read somewhere that an allistic's/NT's "value" system is structured like this: 1. feelings (belief/perspective), 2. social context/structure/life, and 3. information/informational exchange.
whereas an autistic's/ND's "value" system is structured the exact opposite: 1. information/data, 2. social context/structure, 3. feelings (in body, about self, beliefs, perspective, etc.)
it's one thing i actually appreciate about being autistic; information informs how i feel, and if new/proven information is received, i will easily change that belief. i get hung up on the whole "why is new information not changing allistic's/NT's minds?", but that's because their value of information is last in their hierarchy, and like you said - if the impact on their feelings is big, or has impact on their social lives, the information isn't even considered.
which is also why they think autistics' empathy is low, lmao.
An interesting point. I can see what you mean. With psychopaths, of course, we lack the empathy thing entirely, but your perspective offers a different side. You still have the ability to feel empathy, but the priority hierarchy makes it very quiet.
Perhaps it would be, but unfortunately, many people do listen to these outlets, and disconnecting them from that feed to hear contrary information is extremely difficult. You can easily see this in my writing about psychopathy, and those that absolutely refuse to listen to anything different from what they believe, regardless of whether it makes sense or not.
Yes, I have noticed with a bit of general annoyance I suppose that you don't seem to be gaining a great deal of traction. Like, the narrative on psychopaths is almost completely unchanged from what I can see. Youtube videos popping up everywhere on psychopaths.
I think though that, according to my spiritual understanding anyway we don't "count the numbers" because if it is done properly it is seeded by "seniority of vibration" i.e. the people that do get it will be the intelligent ones that can use the information. You only need a few people who are really on it to make a significant change.
On the media though, the way I see that it will likely go down is that eventually, the weight of every single lie they tell every day and throughout history will just burst and ALL truth will come through in some manner. Since they're lying about everything else as well. It's like not getting on with someone and realising later on that no one else gets on with them for precisely the same reason.

Thank you for giving me the origin story. I appreciate it
Thank us with another podcast!!!
A podcast of YOU interviewing a psychologist/neurobiolo-whatever about psychopathy would be brilliant.
Я помню, что слышала это давным-давно.

sometimes i wish i lacked the empathy thing tbh, but at least it's not as loud as an NTs, ha
Perhaps it would be quicker to summarise the things the media reports accurately than the things that it does not report accurately.

That would be a worthy outcome
Trying to find the truth has become frustrating
Indeed
I enjoyed this post very much. (including Conan link) I'll likely think and consider for some time.
Yet if you have a minute? How does this reflect on USA current political!!!! -smiles-
Pretty much...totally
Likely just me: Republicans say they want to govern by Love and Freedom.
Don't they always? I know I think of Republicans and "Freedom". hahaha
I don't discuss politics on my Substack
Athena: did the Conan post lead to an RNC post? Pardons if I got mixed up. I thought RNC was part of the linked materials.
Always my best to you
No, it was an example of network news stations repeating the exact same script, regardless of region
OMG!!! My BAD!!! Pardon me!! I went back and watched: So funny to see that!! But of course, I had it completely mixed up. Thanks!!
