Jesus no wonder you had to take a couple of weeks off from blogging! I still can't work out what Joan's playing at or what her motivations are... but I'm sure all will become clear in time.
Joan seems to have completed the circle. She started with "I must get that man even if he's married because he is wealthy", when she finally got that she went to "everybody only wants me for my money" and now that she isolated herself from everyone she is like "I must get everything from my sister"...
I am not superticious but I believe in curses. I believe if you violate your morals you may be able to get rich faster but doing so leave you in a state on endless hunger. You'll always want more and more until it consumes you.
Joan and Leanne are pretty similar. They both want more and more and can't stop it. But Leanne is innocent. In my opinion Leanne seems to be happier than Joan (before this whole situation of course).
Oh and Amanda looks a lot like you. It must be so nice to have a cool headed company. Amanda is sharp and she gives the best sugestions. Reading your texts made me realise I should be more like that... stop complaining, focusing on "what now?" And trying to read someone's intentions during a heated argument instead of being carried away.
I’m intrigued. Can’t wait to see what happens next. You’d be surprised how often people with a mental illness are often treated without respect and like they can’t make their own decisions.
It’s a mental illness in the same way substance use disorder is a mental illness. In both situations a common mistake people make when they find out their loved ones have an addiction or are a hoarder, is thinking that that person shouldn’t have respect or autonomy.
From the way you are presenting the story, Joan is far from well meaning. In fact, she probably used the fact that Leanne was a hoarder as an excuse to take control.
I have a girl friend watching me read this. She commented on my dead expression and asked if I was adding to the list of people to un-alive if society broke down. That stare at the phone

It most certainly will

I agree, Leanne is definitely happier. I would say that generally, she is happy, but for this incident.

Yes, I have seen that as well. However, Leanne doesn't have any sort of mental illness or impairment, yet she is still being treated this way
Hoarding is considered a mental health condition.

Ah yes, that's fair. I forgot about that.
Indeed, she certainly did
Wow... I'm very glad Leanne had other, sane, (caring and/or ethically acting) people.
Indeed. It is very unfortunate that not everyone in her life is such
Amanda certainly is the rare kind of friend, to travel and support her mate in such a way. I wish I could say that the family was a rare kind…
I’m hooked anyway, even if I am experiencing quiet rage by proxy.

Yeah, I get that
